The through balls and crosses don't offer the same level of control as on Xbox 360 and PS3, but that's partly to do with the lack of pressure-sensitive face buttons. ![]() The trick system is still relegated to the left analog, but without a right stick to fiddle with you're stuck with a shorter list of moves that is geared towards keeping your player moving forward and less on other guys dropping their jock on the field in embarrassment. The gameplay on the PSP has a nice flow to it, though the animation systems that are at work don't have the finite details of its older, current-gen brethren. Instead you'll find something called European Campaign. While the PS2 version of UEFA made an attempt at some form of Captain Your Country, PSP has no mention of it. Sadly, the PSP doesn't see the same treatment. The biggest feature addition to UEFA 2008 on current-gen systems was the Captain Your Country mode which allowed players to choose a player from their favorite team and participate in a kind of Superstar-style (the feature from Madden with the third-person camera angle that's locked on one player of your choosing) mode. ![]()
